I’ve never liked the phrase “success is success.” I think it’s important to be realistic about what success means to you. For example, if you just want to be successful at your job to earn a good living, that’s great. However, if your ultimate goal is to impact the world, then you need to be realistic. This isn’t easy because if you decide to take on too much, you may fail or feel overwhelmed.
I’m not saying that success should be boring or unfulfilling. But the world doesn’t always work in our favor and we can’t expect it to do so. Sometimes we fail and sometimes we succeed.
